Marba Agreement

A new five-year agreement has been reached between the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters (CRCC), which represents more than 30,000 members, and the Mid-America Regional Bargaining Association (MARBA), a multi-employer association that focuses on collective bargaining in the industrial construction industry. Representatives of both parties launched negotiations at an early stage to find a solution before the deadline expired. The new agreement, which will come into force on June 1, calls for annual increases in improved wages, health care and pension benefits. According to the Mid-America Regional Bargaining Association (MARBA), the Mid-America Regional Bargaining Association (MARBA) recently signed a five-year contract with the Chicago Regional Carp Council (CRCC).

The succession agreement, due to come into force on June 1, 2019, expires on May 31, 2024 and provides for wage increases of 3.25%, 3.25%, 3.00%, 3.00% and 3.00%. The union represents approximately 30,000 carpenters in eight counties. MARBA negotiates with Teamsters Joint Council 25 the collective agreement that expires on May 31. MARBA says it will update by email the progress of negotiations with other trade negotiations, including with transactions that the employer group does not negotiate.
